H3C- iMC NTA&UBA
H3C BANDWIDTH MONITORING IMC NTA&UBA
FEATURES
Network Traffic Analysis (NTA)
NTA monitors bandwidth usage across your network, showing who is using bandwidth, when they started, how long usage lasts, traffic sources & destinations, application-level breakdowns, and trends over time.
User Behavior Auditing (UBA)
UBA audits user network access behavior using flow logs (NAT, NetStream, NetFlow, DIG, etc.), enabling administrators to analyze user actions like web visits, email, file transfers, and more from network logs.
Integrated Deployment
NTA and UBA run as service components under iMC, allowing unified dashboards, correlated insights, and simplified deployment in distributed architectures with probes.
Automated Policy & Alerting
Provides rule-based traffic and behavior analysis, SLA/fault correlation, baseline detection, alert thresholds, and audit reports to help detect anomalies and enforce policies.
Configuration Abstraction
Uses a unified interface to configure NetStream / flow collection and UBA tasks, hiding device-specific CLI differences and easing policy deployment on diverse network equipment.
SPECIFICATIONS
Flow Protocols Supported: NAT 1.0, Flow 3.0, NetStream V5/V9, NetFlow V5/V9, and DIG logs
Deployment Model: Distributed with central iMC plus probes to collect traffic/flow data
Reporting & Auditing Scope:
• General audit (user, time, IPs, ports, protocol, application)
• Web visit logs, FTP file transfers, mail subjects and logs, NAT translation audits, etc.
Correlation / SLA Analysis: NTA supports fault & SLA analysis tied with traffic metrics
Interface / Traffic Detail: Session-level, application-level, baseline trends, top talkers
Version Compatibility: iMC 7.x series with associated NTA & UBA modules (e.g. package SKUs)
H3C BANDWIDTH MONITORING IMC QOSM
FEATURES
Centralized QoS Management
QoSM provides a GUI for defining, deploying, monitoring, and optimizing end-to-end QoS policies across routers, switches, and WLAN devices, masking CLI complexity.
Traffic Classification & Behavior Configuration
Allows you to create traffic classes based on source/destination, protocols, ports, etc., and configure behaviors like policing, shaping, marking, queuing, WRED, nested policies, etc.
QoS Deployment & Policy Binding
Enables linking of traffic classes with behaviors to form QoS policies and bind them to interfaces, VLANs, or VPN instances. Also includes deployment wizards (e.g. for VoIP, video).
SLA / Performance Monitoring
After QoS deployment, QoSM provides tools (SLA measurement) to monitor delay, jitter, packet loss metrics and generate graphical reports for performance validation.
Integration with IMC Modules
QoSM integrates with other iMC modules like NTA (for traffic metrics), ACL management, and iCC, allowing cross-module visibility and coordinated policy enforcement.
Configuration Uniformity
QoSM hides device differences—regardless of vendor or platform, a single QoS plan can be applied uniformly to multiple devices, reducing manual CLI work.
SPECIFICATIONS
Scope of Devices: Routers, switches, WLAN APs (QoS-capable devices)
Policy Elements: Classifiers, behaviors, marking, policing, shaping, queuing, WRED, nested policies
Deployment Units: QoS deploy plans (atomic deploy / read / save)
Monitoring Metrics: Delay, jitter, packet loss (via SLA tool)
Integration: Compatible with iMC platform and modules like NTA, ACL, iCC
Configuration Abstraction: Single UI abstracts divergent device CLI logic
Licensing: QoSM is a modular license component in iMC; SKU “SWP-IMC7-QOSM” shown in iMC component list.
