The ALN-V is optimised for detecting smoke produced by soft furnishings, plastics or foams — materials that tend to produce visible, optically dense smoke rather than fast flame.
Low profile, auto-compensation, built-in test and digital protocol
It has a slim design (~2″ high including base), automatically compensates for contamination, supports built-in fire test mode, and uses the DCP digital communication protocol.

This sensor is ideal where smoke sensors are less appropriate (dusty areas, kitchens, utility rooms). It detects either when ambient temperature exceeds a fixed threshold or when temperature rises rapidly (rate-of-rise) to trigger an alarm.
Low profile, digital communication and adjustable thresholds
Designed ~2″ high including base, uses DCP digital communication, supports adjustable fixed-temp threshold (135 °F–190 °F) and rate-of-rise threshold (~15 °F/min) and permits up to 127 devices per SLC loop.
